the adventures of mudkip and torchic: story 1

on one fine evening at the swamp, mudkip and torchic sat for hours watching othere pokemon play "battle". "Oh why won't Grovyle let us play battle. I meean, we're careful and all..." Torchic said. "Because i'm a water type and your fire. He doesn't want me using watere gun or mud slap." "Even if you hit me with a super effective move, wee could just go to the great oran tree in oran forest." torchic argued. "Hey guys, what's with the sad look?" Grovyle announced while appearing from behind. "Oh why won't you let us play battle, even if one of us faints, the other could go to oran forest and get oran berries." Mudkip comlained. "You know why, and oran forest has aggresive pokemon there, plus their wild!" Grovyle argued on, "and how did you know there were oran berries there?" "Umm..." Torchic said. "You know oran forest is off limits! What else are you doing behind my back?! You could have fainted, or worse! Why do you do this to me..." Grovyle yelled. "You have been gone an awfully long time, and we got bored. And when me and mudkip are teamed up, we're unstoppable!" "Besides, where have you been Grovyle?" Mudkip asked. "I can't answer that yet, but if what you say is true, then come with me and prove your worth." Grovyle said sadly. "Where are we going?" Mudkip asked. "Well, we're going to a place called Exploration Falls. There it will test both of you if you are worthy enough of an exploration team." (1 hour later...) "Ahh... would you look at that, we're here already." "Wow!" The two pokemon glamoured as they saw the magnificent waterfall. "So what do we do now?" Mudkip asked. " You jump in and take whatever test it gives you..." "What was your test like Grovyle?" Torchic asked him. "I can't answer that yet. Take the test and after words, i'll tell you what i went through." "I don't want to do this," torchic thought. "I'm a fire type and it's a WATER-fall" his thought continued with a stress on the water in waterfall. "Here i go!" Mudkip shouted, "Ahhh!!! Oh my gosh," Mudkip muttered. "You whom entered the falls, Do you seek the begining of a team?" a deep voice bellowed. "I do, me and torchic want to explore all over and we need the test." Mudkip explained to the darkness. "Are you sure you want the test?" "I am sure, and are all the tests the same?" "No, although some tests repeat, some are new to the ranks." The voice continued on, "Which test rank will you go for?" "What do you mean?" Mudkip asked. "I mean normal to gold, and all in between, it determinds which rank you will start as. The harder the test you choose, and assuming you pass, will make your rank time shorter at reaching gold rank." The voice told him. "Can i choose the middle test?" mudkip asked. "The super rank test, for you? Well if that's what you want... You will have to decipher the code below and enter the password. It will not be easy, and you can only get two mistakes, or you fail. Now Start!" "Umm..." Mudkip concentrated hard. "Oh, i get it," Mudkip thought. Then Mudkip thought the answer. "Correct! But you have a partner, and if they pass an easier test like if he went rank 1 and you went rank 3, you would start on rank 2. Same goes if they pass a harder test. Now get out!!!" The voice bellowed and a wind pushed mudkip out. Thump! Mudkip landed hard. "Grovyle, i did it, i passed!" "Good, now bye torchic!" Then grovyle shoved him in. "Ahhhh!!!" Torchic screamed. "Now mudkip, what rank did you pass?" "Believe it or not, i passed super rank! Mudkip gloated. "Wow, thats very good. I passed the hyper rank test. Thats only one rank higher!" "I wonder what torchic will pass..." Mudkip stated. "Hello?" Torchic said to the darkness. "Ahh, you must be that young fellow's partner. What test rank did you want?" the darkness asked torchic. "The same rank as mudkip." "You choose the middle rank? That is fine, your test will be explained shortly." The darkness said. "Oh gosh..." The darkness then explained. "and you can only get 2 wrong. Now solve!" "Ok, this goes here and... Oh wait, he will get eaten."
"Ding! you can only get one more wrong." Torchic thinks it through. "Ahah!" and he moves all the peices untill they are in the goal area. "Good, now get out and bring mudkip back in with you!" "Ahh!!!" Torchic got blown out by an unseeable force. "Mudkip, come back in with me." "Ok, oh torchic what rank did you pass?" "Same as you, and now we go in." "Hey guys, i'm proud of you two." Grovyle told them. "Thanks grovyle." The partners said. Then they jumped in. "You two, what shall the team name be?" "Oh... we need a team name. What do you think mudkip?" "Maybe we should have something tough sounding. But not like we're the best." "Maybe the Atlantians Flame?" Torchic asked. "That sounds good torchic, and it makes sense too. Our team name shall be The Atlantians flame!" Mudkip told the darkness. "The Atlantians Flame, You are super rank and your guild will be the Golden Treasures in Goldville. It is located in the south west, and your mentor shall be a pokemon named Empoleon, and his partner Raichu. They have an exploration team called the spertians. Now here are some gifts to start you out. The voice said. Then a huge box fell from nowhere. The box contained: a treasure bag; 2,000 poke; 2 oran berries; 2 reviver seeds; and a ticket to enter the golden treasures. "Wow, thats a lot of stuff." Mudkip said. "Oh, there's also 2 pins down here too." Said torchic. "They are your rescue badges, now get out and never return again!" The wind blew them out harshly. "oof." mudkip said as he ran into Grovyle. "Ah, you made it out. Now where is your guild?" he asked. " A place in the southwest called the golden treasures." the partners told him. "What!?" Grovyle shouted. "Oh... not my guild..." Grovyle thought. "anyways we should start on our way.
